Beginning as a child, Margie pursued her love for music. After majoring in Major at Western Baptist College she built multiple orchestra programs and currently runs the Placer County Youth Orchestra, a full symphonic, youth orchestra. She also teaches dynamic music based history classes like “Musical History Drama” which combines music, drama, dancing, performance, and history to create a multidimensional class.

Elana Pope shares her brilliance in science, math, and technology in each class she teaches. Elana also serves as an administrator at Bluedoor Education center.

Tiffany is passionate about growing students in their educational confidence. Through the Edventure classes, she incorporates a literature rich curriculum with hands-on activities that provide the building blocks for a lifelong love of learning. She loves to encourage students to adopt question asking and answer seeking behaviors and to dive into new and interesting concepts through the lens of adventure and experiential learning.





After serving as a pastor, Bob embarked  25 years ago into a new career, teaching middle school students. English and history, are the areas of Bob’s passion. Making the classroom not only a place to learn, but also have fun while you learn, is Bob’s goal as a teacher. In addition to classroom teaching, Bob has also served as a principal. He also teaches English 1A at a local college.

Aubrey is a graduate from William Jessup University with her degree in English. Story-telling is her passion, creating art both through writhing and directing youth theatre productions. Most of all, she enjoys working with students to help them find their voices and express themselves.

Carly is a nuturer at heart. Her enthusiasm for inspiring a well rounded education that promotes physical activity come from her close family upbringing. With a love for outdoors and play she thrives in helping children develope confidence and life building skills along with a growth mindset, 

Travis grew up in Newcastle and went to the University of Nevada, Reno, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music. He also studied Spanish at Andrés Bello University in Chile, for a semester abroad. Aside from teaching Spanish at Enriched Loomis and Physical Education at Bluedoor, Travis works as a private music instructor for piano, drums and ukulele, as well as a tutor for reading, writing and basic math at the Auburn Tutoring Center. He enjoys rock-climbing, playing music and camping.

Ben grew up in a musical family, playing instruments at 5. He began to play for pit orchestras at 15. He learned quickly that theatre was his passion. He has played the roles of Motel Kamzoil (Fiddler on the Roof), Willy Wonka, Bennie Southstreet (guys and Dolls) He received a full double scholarship to William Jessup where he traveled with the choir and orchestra and played in several of their musical productions. His favorite role was the role of LaFou in Beauty and the Beast. Ben has an eye for staging and theater and loves to create great productions. He is the co-founder of the Placer County Youth Orchestra and when not on stage can be found in a pit orchestra, conducting or teaching.

Jessica Quintana earned her degree in Spanish with Honors at U.C.Davis and completed her teaching credential at Sacramento State University. She has taught Spanish to preschoolers, adults, and every age in between. She is passionate about helping students to develop a love for other languages and cultures, sharing tools and resources that help learners grow, and spreading the message that anyone can learn a new language!

Coltin shares his enthusiasm for math and logic with his students in a light-hearted, fun environment. He graduated from William Jessup University with a BA in Mathematics  He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Mathematics. As a homeschooled student himself, Coltin brings an understanding of personalized learning to the classroom.

Cindy has a Bachelor of Science in Math and Physical Science and a Masters of Math Education from Purdue University. In between degrees, Cindy venture into engineering and worked as a Process Engineer in the Semiconductor/ Computer industry. Amy is a dedicated mother of 5 amazing girls. Her passion for choices in education led her to Bluedoor and soon after, to join the administrative team. Her experience in homeschooling and special education paired with her knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology makes her the perfect campus mom.

Bret Burns serves as Bluedoor's Facilities Manager and Site Supervisor. After working for 20+ years in contractor sales, Bret's mission is to help young people explore careers through education and trades by pairing students with mentors and finding internships in their areas of interest.

Ashton's main goal for his students is to help them develop a lifetime love of learning. He encourages question asking and answer seeking behaviors and believes that students learn best when provided a hands-on learning experience in a team oriented environment.




Jen James obtained her multiple subject teaching credential through WGU and taught in the Placer Hills School District for three years where she completed the induction program. Jen's teaching philosophy is centered around building strong, positive relationships with her students so that they have a comfortable and safe learning environment. She believes in making learning fun, meaningful and instilling critical thinking skills for her students.
